InnerSpace Explorers (ISE) is an international dive training organization putting its focus on the exploration of the underwater world as well as on teaching technical diving skills. The challenging trainings and workshops demonstrate the participants their individual limits in diving along with solutions how to overcome those barriers. The skills and knowledge acquired by the students allows them to participate in exciting exploration projects and to always “stay cool” even in extreme situations.

In contrast to several other dive training organizations, with ISE there is no guarantee to get certified at the end of each course! Only students who can demonstrate confidence in applying the goals of the respective course will get the written proof that they can conduct the challenging dives according to ISE standards. The cards issued are not valid unlimited, ISE asks for a requalification in regular intervals to prevent divers from jumping back into the sport after a long period of absenteeism, and hurt themselves or others. Divers will then have to prove their ability to dive at their highest certified level, to an authorized representative of ISE in order to maintain their status.

ISE strongly believes that skills and knowledge once learnt have got to be practiced and applied frequently in order to be kept sharp and up to date. Therefore, any diver who earns any particular certification, has got to be active in order to maintain the ability to dive safely at that level of certification., the ISE certification expires after 3 years.
Although ISE is clearly influenced by the DIR Philosophy, it is open for new input and leading technology that may have its place in the diving field.

Founded: 2008 by internationally renowned diving instructor Achim Schloeffel, who, before founding ISE, was for a long time the only German speaking instructor of Global Underwater Explorers (GUE).
