SharkSchool^TM in Palau with Dr. Erich Ritter and Sam's Tours: September 22 - 28, 2010

The programme

The workshop focuses on the interaction aspects of different shark species. It will teach you what to look for when facing a shark, which factor(s) influence(s) the situation the most and how to interpret an encounter. Subject to environmental conditions and sharks in the water, certain topics learned in the class room will also be tried and tested with and among free roaming sharks.

Workshop elements:

• Introduction to ADORE-SANE
• Detailed introduction in shark behavior
• Overview of shark accidents, their analyses and interpretations
• Do’s & don’ts
• Post-analysis of shark encounters while diving
• In-water exercises (subject to environmental conditions and sharks in the water)

The SharkSchool^TM Palau All Inclusive package includes

• 7 nights accommodation including breakfast
• 5 days of diving (2 dives per day) including tanks, weights, and Nitrox for free (for certified divers)
• 5 days of lectures with Dr. Erich Ritter
• Lunch and drinks (non-alcoholic beverages) while on tour
• Group dinners (buffet) at either Sam's Tours or local Palau restaurants (alcoholic beverages not included). Includes one dinner at famous "The Taj Palau" - probably the best Indian food outside of India!

September 22/23: Arrival date
September 24-28: SharkSchool^TM programme, lectures + diving
September 29: Departure date or start customized extension week

* Final start date (23 or 24 of September) will be set at short notice according to flight schedules of all participating guests. Optional check dives available upon request.
