Great summer splash at Sam's Tours Palau
Get away from it all and join the fun
Koror/Munich, July 09, 2009:
Palau is renowned for pristine dive sites and unspoiled nature. But there’s even more to Palau that many divers miss out on. Explore great summer adventures and outdoor activities with Sam’s Tours, Palau’s premier dive resort and eco-tour operator!
While hotels, resorts and other dive bases lay low during summer season, dive and tour operator Sam’s Tours is gearing up to provide great experiences and entertainment to their European and US-American guests. Dermot Keane, Managing Director of Sam’s Tours says: “August and September are wonderful vacation months for our guests from overseas. We have sun, warm water, very few tourists, and an incredible ecosystem above and below the water. With our friendly and competent staff and well equipped dive base, we provide perfect and memorable vacation experiences to guests of every interest.“
Sam’s Tours resident underwater film-maker and photographer Dr. Nick Martorano offers fun and educational photo and video courses to help photographers of every skill level get more enjoyment from their work. Professional underwater still-photographer Todd Essick recently enjoyed a videography course with Nick and called Nick “one of the most patient and informative teachers I’ve had the pleasure of working with”. Nick’s courses focus on practical hands-on techniques that students can immediately apply underwater, with classroom time kept to a minimum. Students enjoy an exciting and fun experience, while maximizing time spent in the water diving, shooting and having fun!
For the first time, Kids Sea Camp, an Emmy award-winning marine environment educational program, will take place in Palau with Sam’s Tours as their exclusive host. The family-based educational program promotes improved awareness of the marine environment and the challenges it faces. Throughout Kids Sea Camp, the children enjoy multiple challenging and educational activities with support from an enthusiastic staff dedicated sharing their knowledge of the oceans wonders. In 2010, the program is intended to include European families as well. Says Dermot Keane, Managing Director of Sam’s Tours: “Children always have a great time in Palau. Many of our staff have children who spend their afternoons at the dive base and “children being children” naturally mingle and easily make new friends! They get to enjoy swimming, snorkeling and learn about nature from children their own age. They learn first-hand how Palauan children understand and appreciate the environment and return home as enthusiastic ambassadors of environmental protection themselves.“
