Sam’s Tours is celebrating its 30th anniversary at the boot show 2020 in Duesseldorf

Sam’s Tours Palau is a very sociable and generous customer. It is already a standard to host customers, sales partners and friends from the industry in the early evening hours at the boot show booth for a few drinks. In 2020, however, the assignment was slightly different: In order to celebrate the 30th company anniversary, Sam’s Tours asked us to come up with some ideas for one special evening event at the booth as a marketing promotion.

We discussed many ideas, but had to keep in mind that the event had to have a time limit until 8 pm due to the regulations from Messe Duesseldorf, but also due to a partner dinner the same evening, where Sam’s Tours management needed to show up in time for.

So we finally decided to go for a traditional birthday bash with champagne and cake. In Judith’s home town, there is a confectionery famous for their motive cakes: Werdener Traumtorten. We requested mini cakes decorated with the logo of Sam’s Tours and colored in blue and yellow – the colors of the flag of Palau.

Sam’s Tours was very happy with the proposal and we started the invitation campaign. What we did not tell our customer of course was that Christoph and I ordered a special cake with marine motives to say „Thank you“ from our part for being such a longstanding, loyal and great customer to work for.

The result: The booth was full with people joing the celebration, the cake was probably the most photographed item that evening and we just so made it to dinner in time…
