Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas: The Pink Booth at boot 2019

Dive center | Task: Concept, Design, Planning and Operations of the booth at boot show 2019 in Dusseldorf, Germany

What the client needed

Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas had not been present in continental Europe for many years. When they decided to attend the largest water sports show of the world, the boot show in Duesseldorf, Germany, we knew we had to make their booth stand out. More so, since Stuart Cove is a legend in the Bahamas and the dive spots around his dive centre have been many times chosen for diving scenes in Hollywood documentaries and movies.

Well, our design concept was certainly provocative and unusual…

For 2017, Stuart Cove had produced an outstanding calendar, produced by his female dive instructor staff. The aim of the ladies was to raise awareness for the ever diminishing underwater ecosystem and for the sharks of the Bahamas. The outcome were beautiful and touching black-and-white photos. The female instructors were posing on wrecks or in the sand and most of the time interacting with sharks.

We decided to use these stunning images as the key element for the stand design. The pink background on the panel made them absolutely stand out.

What Stuart said

We have been very focused on the US market for the past years, it was time to make up ground again in Europe, quickly and effectively. We had spoken to a number of friends and business partners who know the diving scene in Europe, including England, well – they recommended Judith and Christoph from Tourism Unlimited.

When Christoph presented his concept for the new booth of Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas at the BOOT show in Düsseldorf with just one preliminary briefing, we knew that Tourism Unlimited was the right choice: the pink from our logo as the basic color for all panels – in contrast to the blue 99% of our competitors, black and white photography made by our employees, instead of the repetitive blueish underwater photos, printed QR codes instead of paper flyers. We stood out from the crowd, we were talked about – and we spoke to old friends, new partners and guests. Mission accomplished!
